Probably my favourite moment at last year's show was the rack of 28 air bombs going off. Let me start by saying that I have a thing for air bombs. I think they are among the best value fireworks going. They are cheap and incredibly loud. Much can be done with them in augmenting other fireworks with noise, or increasing the intensity of a show to fever pitch. Last year it was only 28; this year's biggest rack will have 60.
I'll let the air bomb's little brother, the 'mini air bomb' in on this post, since I'll be racking them the same way, and they're pretty cool too - instead of a boom, they're a bang.
Creating the blitzkrieg isn't difficult at all. As with everything here, there's little science. I start with a wood plank that can accommodate ABs 15 long by 4 wide. They are a 1" diameter tube, so any plank greater than 7" x 24" will work. I think this can be found in my scrap.
